UPIM ("Unico Prezzo Italiano Milano") is a department stores chain in Italy owned by the La Rinascente Group. It was founded in 1928 and as of 2006 it had some 140 directly owned stores and 200 franchises, all in its home country.
UPIM is the "shop" for today's Italian families, people attentative to style and design who choose to live in harmony with the times, but shy away from extremes; for them UPIM provides a discerning, specialised offer of clothing, home wares, furniture, leisure goods and cosmetic. They promote the concept of "inventived and designed" in Italy. Above all they express their social responsibility, rather than doing only business.
